In the cited published account:
The Kent Archaeological Society’s church-plate survey says Edward Neame of Selling Court gave vessels for Boughton-under-Blean church’s reopening in 1871. It identifies him as son of John Neame of Selling, donor of the plate at Selling church. Edward died in 1887.
Greenwood's 1838 survey calls Selling Court the residence of John Neame and Luton House the seat of Miss Neame; it says Luton House was built in 1806 by the late Thomas Neame.
