The place and its story

History that needs watering

At Queen Court Farm, part of brewing history grows out of the ground.

In 2007, Shepherd Neame provided land for the National Hop Collection. Its account describes preserving historic hop varieties alongside work to breed new commercial ones.

A document can be put in a box. A living collection needs somewhere to grow. That makes this patch of land another way of keeping the past around.
